Mecha-tankie is an aesthetic revolution and [[Vibe Shift|vibe shift]] pioneered by [[Haz Al-Din]] of [[Infrared]] in a 2022 stream.<ref name=":0">[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USK031EZLXE Introducing Mecha-Tankies: The Internet's Newest Political Subculture]</ref> In this stream, [[Haz Al-Din]] pointed to the phenomenon of workers who appear to own their means of production but in fact this is an exoskeleton which simply compounds their labor, making them comparable to mechas. This class of mecha-workers or exo-peasants (in reference to the Dutch farmers) which includes farmers who 'own' their tractors, heavy industry workers with their tools, and truckers is the revolutionary subject for the mecha-tankie. In the same stream, [[Haz Al-Din]] rejected the [[Patriotic Socialism|patsoc]] label and "civic patriotism" which is the institutional patriotism of social democracy.
