COINTELPRO

From InfraWiki

COINTELPRO, officially known as the Counter Intelligence Program, is an ongoing operation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), usually aided by other liberal projects, to censor, infiltrate, and eliminate Marxist-Leninist, civil rights, and Black nationalist movements in the United States (US).[1][2][3] COINTELPRO began in 1956 during the rise of the civil rights movement, officially ending in 1971.[4] Despite the official end of COINTELPRO, the FBI has continued to launch counterintelligence operations to silence political dissidents.[5][6][7]

New Black Panther Party[edit | edit source]

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), and mainstream media continuously work with the FBI and to slander the New Black Panther Party (NBPP).[5][6] Particularly, the ADL and the SPLC have slandered the organization as a "hate group," accusing it of "anti-White" and "antisemtic" racism. The SPLC backs up these claims by citing statements against Zionism and Israel made by the NBPP.[8] However, the vast majority of these statements have either been anti-Zionist or comedic.
