Libertarian Stalinism

Libertarian Stalinism is a political strategy according to which the expansion of the imperialist state machine is in fact reactionary.

In contrast to the traditional Marxist view, which advocates for minimal reforms as the vehicle to accentuate the contradictions within the ultimate revolutionary strategy, the 'Libertarian Stalinist' view holds that the imperialist state machine must be smashed and, to that end, common ground can be found with the aims of Libertarians.

The view holds that only after the smashing of the imperialist state machine can it be possible to build a proletarian dictatorship. Thus agitation for increased welfare programs and government spending is inherently counter-productive.

It also regards broad, spontaneous libertarian sentient among the masses as inherently counter-hegemonic, as opposed to Leftism, which is firmly entrenched within the imperialist hegemony and seeks to utilize the institutions of imperialism in order to build socialism. This is contrast to the current orientation of the revisionist CPUSA which tails behind the Democratic Party and the existing institutional hegemony.

This argument is made in the tradition of Leninism, which argues that “the working class cannot simply lay hold of the ready-made state machinery and wield it for its own purposes."
