Deng Xiaoping was a Chinese Marxist-Leninist revolutionary leader who helped to modernize the Mao-era economy to bring China into a new level of material prosperity, upon which the material basis of post-scarcity communism can be built.[1] This understanding emphasizes the growth of the "productive forces" within society to the point of which post-scarcity can be reached, the higher the level of productive forces, the more advanced the relations of labour could become.
