Social Democracy is a form of capitalism where the bourgeoisie has granted significant material concessions to the working class, mostly as a means of staving off a proletarian revolution where a new state will be constructed.

Rajani Palme Dutt's book Fascism and Social Revolution (1934) demonstrates how the Social Democrats in Europe led to the rise of fascism.
