CPUSA 2036 is a political vision picturing a potential CPUSA in the future, which has abandoned all pandering to the Democratic establishment and has returned to standing loyal to the American working class and to its founding Marxist-Leninist core beliefs[1]. It has first been coined by the Infrared Collective in one of their first livestreams and has since then been spreaded by the broader Infrared Community on social media platforms like Twitter or Youtube. It has remained one of the most relevant memes within the Infrared Community, despite being one of the oldest.

The official, by Haz approved strategy to achieve that vision is the Taqyiah, a form of concealed, invisible takeover of the party.

As a response, the CPUSA has publicly denounced Haz on Twitter. In addition to this, Haz al-Din has been put on a blacklist of the CPUSA and is forbidden to join the party anytime soon[2]. The pinnacle of confrontation between Infrared and the CPUSA leadership however, has thus far been the October 2022 Zoom meeting incident, in which Haz directly confronted Joe Sims in an official CPUSA Zoom meeting that was entirely dedicated to the menace that is Infrared to the current party leadership. It has been only through the Taqiyah-operation and his followers having infiltrated his party, that he could access the Zoom call meeting in the first place.

Since 2036 also happens to be a presidential election year, it has been speculated that CPUSA 2036 could also be a hint at a future campaign of the then truly communist party.

Strategies

Taqiyah

In Shia Islam, taqiyah refers to a temporary toleration of sinful acts or the conceal of ones own belief as a precautionary measure to achieve a greater, pieous goal. Similarly, as a means of achieving the goal of CPUSA 2036, Haz encourages his viewership to join the party en masse and get in positions of power, whilst concealing their true beliefs and pretending to be small d-Democrats as the main strategy of taking back the Communist Party of America.

Operation RedAnon

In October 2022, several members of the Infrared Community began creating Twitter accounts resembling official accounts of the CPUSA. These accounts acted like they were genuine offshoots of the CPUSA in different states, just not under the current leadership, but rather, as if the vision already realized itself. Haz endorsed these events and described these accounts as Hyperstitions and utilizing time travel. He also coined the ongoing process of creating and engaging these accounts in the information war as Operation RedAnon. The new RedAnon accounts are in addition to that attempting to report the official CPUSA Twitter accounts for impersonating them and vice versa. It is still unknown who is going to prevail in this strategic Twitter battle, though some RedAnon accounts have already been banned.

Criticisms

Haz, the figurehead of CPUSA 2036, has been accused of leading an entryist campaign to subvert the party according to his beliefs. Haz responded to these accusations on Twitter, claiming the CPUSA has already been infiltrated by establishment-adjacent thought and that he is merely returning the CPUSA to what it was supposed to be.

Furthermore, critics of CPUSA 2036 often point out that if Infrared Community is dissatisfied with the party, they would be best off if they started their own party. Haz's position on the matter however, is that a Communist party cannot simply be started from scratch and that there cannot be two Communist parties. Furthermore, Haz points out to the long history of the CPUSA, which cannot simply be reproduced[3].
