General Antisemitism in Ukrainian Nationalism[edit source]
The quote, "While most Ukrainian nationalists at the time were not anti-semitic, Bandera was a pioneer.", under the Life header is extremely incorrect. The Makhnovites and the forces of Simon Petlyura set precedents for habitual progroms against jews by their forces during the Russian Civil War. Petlyura was assassinated in parisian exile by one of the jewish survivors and the description of his modus operandi before the court resulted in a significantly more lenient sentence because of the deranged brutality. Bandera was following precedents set much earlier.
