BreadTube is a group of online content creators, mostly YouTube channels and Twitch streamers, who claim to promote left-wing ideas (socialism, communism, anarchism) while still parroting certain pro-imperialist talking points. This contradiction has led to suspicion and inquiry into who's behind the BreadTube phenomenon.
Its name comes from Peter Kropotkin's The Conquest of Bread, which is ideologically anarcho-communist and is often promoted by so-called "anti-authoritarian" socialists.
