Tsai Ing-wen is a Taiwanese political who is serving as the "president" of the so-called "Republic of China" (Taiwan) which is only recognized by 13 countries as of 2021.
In March of 2023, she provocatively visited the United States. Her visit was protested by the Center for Political Innovation, which argued that her visit was increasing tensions between the USA and the nuclear-armed People's Republic of China.[1]
