Ontology

The branch of philosophy which studies being, it is the investigation of kind or kinds of ultimate reality. In the older and narrower sense, it was synonymous with metaphysics. The ontological difference is the difference between 'beings' and 'Being', another example would be 'politics' and 'the political'.
