MAGA Communism is a movement sparked by Infrared which claims that the revolutionary agent within America will be what are currently MAGA Trump supporters, but can be educated about the true nature of Marxism-Leninism[1][2] in contrast to the so-called "communism" of the Academic Synthetic Left, which dominates left wing spaces in the West.
It began as a meme with a corresponding hashtag, #MAGACommunism in order to differentiate Infrared from the Patriotic Socialism label which had gone sour due to some of the self-described Patriotic Socialists. MAGA Communism has since grown into a meaningful movement.[3] This form of meme warfare can be considered a real-life example of a hyperstition.
According to Haz, "MAGA is an insepient form of American socialism."[2][4]
On March 1st, 2023, Ben Burgis and Haz debated MAGA Communism.[5]
