Patriotic Socialism, sometimes shortened to PatSoc, was a contentious meme during mid-2022 which referred to the necessity of Marxist-Leninists to have a patriotic orientation to their country.[1] The contention was primarily in the United States, where ultra-leftists claim all forms of patriotism are "reactionary" and "chauvinistic," which is historical revisionism.
Accusations of chauvinism against PatSocs were unfounded, for example claims that PatSocs were against Indigenous sovereignty.
Patriotic Socialism has gone out of vogue and has since been replaced by MAGA Communism.
