Poznan Protests

The Poznan Protests in Poland in 1956 were a failed urbanite color revolution that grew out of workers' protests for higher wages. According to Wikipedia, the workers were quickly joined by students and PMCs ("institutions"), who started smashing government offices.

The uprising was put down by Konstantin Rokossovsky and Polish-Soviet General Stanislav Poplasky.
