Force the vote was a failed attempt by US activists to "force a vote" on Medicare for All by urging The Squad to withhold their confirmation vote for Speaker Nancy Pelosi as leverage.[1][2]
The purpose of the vote would've been to expose which so-called "progressives" aren't willing to stand up for policies that would actually help the working class of the United States.
The Republicans have used this exact tactic to stave off McCarthy's speakership in order to extract certain concessions.[3]
