Degrowth is a dangerous ideology which seeks to reduce economic growth, nominally in defense of protecting the environment. The global elite have bankrolled this ideology in order to solidify their monopolistic position above the rest of the world. The Western Left has been hoodwinked into supporting the monopolists' degrowth propaganda.

Communists advocate for economic growth in order to get to a higher stage of economic growth, like how Deng Xiaoping Thought and Xi Jinping Thought advocate for the raising of the productive forces of society.
