2036 is a Common Year of the Gregorian Calendar.
It is a United States Presidential Election year, and therefore holds political significance for various movements in the U.S.
The Infrared community seeks to establish control of the CPUSA long before 2036 in an effort to elect a CPUSA Party Member to the presidency, this plan is called CPUSA 2036.
