Jackson Hinkle is a Marxist-Leninist YouTuber, influencer, and political commentator. He runs a YouTube show called The Dive with Jackson Hinkle.

Early Work and Online Presence

Jackson was born in San Clemente, California in September 1999. In his adolescence, he was a surfer and local environmental activist who sought to keep his hometown's beaches and water clean. He attended San Clemente High School, where he wrote for the Triton Times school newspaper. In 2018, at 19 years old, Hinkle ran for San Clemente city council while simultaneously acting as Youth Director for Chooose, a small environmental activist group in the area. He lost the seat by three percentage points. Running again for the same position in 2019 after graduating, he focused on opposing "reckless overdevelopment", clearing nuclear waste from the beaches, addressing the rising problem of homelessness in Orange County, and above all "[representing] the needs of residents and businesses throughout our community, rather than those of wealthy campaign contributors and developers who seek to divide our community and destroy our ways of life." Though he lost, he gained an early understanding of politics on the local, regional, and national levels. Hinkle then attended Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California, majoring in political science.

Jackson supported the Bernie Sanders presidential campaigns of 2016 and 2020. Though being lauded by Variety and other magazines as one of the "most inspirational kids of 2017", internet nobodies, wannabes, and trolls learn of Jackson's "progressive activist" past and claim he became a grifter online in spite of his adolescent views, yet they have no concept of development or growth, upending their charges; not to mention, due to such lack of rigorous thought, they neglect the clear and consistent principles which he has had since early childhood.

During the COVID Pandemic, Jackson started his political show The Dive with Jackson Hinkle on YouTube and began streaming as JacksonHinkleTV on Twitch. He was censored and subsequently banned from Twitch, alongside Haz Al-Din, for their anti-imperialist coverage of the Russo-Ukrainian War. Twitch debate bros and Breadtubers praised the Amazon-owned company for this censorship-- however, of course, this only make Jackson (and Haz) more popular among online audiences and notorious or infamous among Redditors, liberals, and other (overlapping) anti-communist groups online. Both Jackson and Haz continued on Youtube-- garnering multiple strikes each on their respective accounts, meaning Jackson can be banned from YouTube permanently in fewer steps-- and on Rumble, an alternative, anti-censorship streaming platform. During this time, Jackson's YouTube cannel began growing somewhat rapidly due to his unwavering counter-hegemonic coverage of the Ukraine war, including not only his regular geopolitical-analytic news show, but Twitch debates and interviews as well. When The Dive reached 50-60,000 subscribers on YouTube, he was interviewed by Jimmy Dore on The Jimmy Dore Show and Primo Radical shortly after himself interviewing Aaron Maté of The Grayzone on The Dive. Soon after, Jackson, who had previously debated Twitch streamers such as Destiny, debated former federal informant Vaush on the OPCW coverup of the 2018 Syrian rebel gas attacks. Vaush rage-quit this debate after essentially calling Jackson a neo-Nazi for not entertaining his Anglo Box. Jackson soon became a regular guest on The Jimmy Dore Show, and began collaborating often with Aaron and Max Blumenthal, editors of The Grayzone, among others, on geopolitical and political analysis. He began to have interviews and conversations with Revolutionary Blackout Network members and others in independent media. Soon, he was put alongside journalists, philosophers, musicians, and other civilians on the Ukrainian kill list Myrotverets simply for being one of the only people in the U.S. opposing the war, opposing NATO expansion, and vehemently opposing current and historical American involvement in Ukraine-- all while growing immensely influential in American political discourse.

Jackson went on to gain hundreds of thousands of followers on YouTube during this time, garnering over 300,000 followers by 2023. In the midst of this rapid growth, he debated Sam Seder of The Majority Report on whether or not The Squad, a group of Democrat politicians posturing as "progressive", were in fact corrupt for taking bribes from George Soros, defrauding grassroots donors, ideologically aligning with the rest of the Democratic Party and their donors, and especially for their support for a 2021 bill funding United States Capitol security (effectively creating another intelligence agency). Seder's response to this all this is best summed up in his own words: "I don't care!"

Long after Jackson had already surpassed one million YouTube subscribers, he was interviewed on larger and larger shows. Jackson was interviewed by Addison Smith and later Alison Steinberg for One America News Network, Tucker Carlson for Fox News, George Galloway of Mother of All Talk Shows, Piers Morgan and others on TalkTV, Chinese news organization Guancha, the Russians With Attitude podcast, and more. He has interviewed many guests on The Dive, including [__].

On October 9, 2023, his YouTube account was suspended for "Ukraine misinformation".

Rise to Fame

Jackson Hinkle experienced massive growth as of late 2023 due to the war between Hamas and Israel. From October to December, Hinkle's X account was consistently among the top ten most viral on the platform.
