Hassan Nasir was a Pakistani Communist, Islamic socialist, and anti-imperialist who fought against the foreign influence of the United States and the British Empire in Pakistan. He was tortured and murdered by imperialists in 1960 at the age of 32, becoming a martyr of the Pakistani anti-imperialist movement. In modern Pakistan, he is remembered as an icon for the Pakistan Movement for Justice (PTI), a political party in Pakistan that has been fighting against imperialist influence.[1]
