Since [[Xi Jinping]] became President of the People's Republic of China in 2013, the Chinese government has been working on major [[Poverty alleviation in China|poverty alleviation]] efforts. On April 22, 2019 Xi Jinping made an effort to inspect these poverty alleviation efforts in order to make sure things were going accordingly.
