== Federal involvement == The [[Democratic Party]] and the federal government of the United States implanted many agents within the January 6 crowd to egg on violence and make it appear as if it were a violent rally. The FBI had at least eight implants within the [[Proud Boys]]. The [[United States Department of Justice]] (DOJ) had at least 40 within the Proud Boys. According to revelations leaked by members of the [[Republican Party]] within [[United States Congress]], hundreds of other undercover agents were involved in the [[sting operation]].
