First founded in 1892, the People's Party was originally led by [[James B. Weaver]] and managed to garner 22 [[Electoral College]] votes in the [[1892 American presidential election]]. The initial version of the party died out by the [[1912 American presidential election]], although it was later revived in 1971. The contemporary version of the People's Party was founded in 2017 by [[Nick Brana]] and [[Jimmy Dore]]. The current leadership of the People's Party works side-by-side with the [[Center for Political Innovation]] (CPI) and the [[Libertarian Party]] (LP), being one of the main sponsors of [[Unite Against the Imperialists]] and [[Rage Against the War Machine]]. == Ballot access == *[[Florida]]<ref>[https://dos.myflorida.com/elections/candidates-committees/political-parties/ Political Parties]</ref> *[[Idaho]] (formerly) *[[Kansas]] (formerly) *[[Nevada]] (formerly) *[[North Dakota]] (formerly) *[[Oregon]] (formerly) == References == <references /> [[Category:Third parties in the United States]] [[Category:Political parties in the United States]]
