Cosmopolitanism

From InfraWiki
(Redirected from Cosmopolitan)

Cosmopolitanism is the belief that you are a citizen of the world.

The Soviets under Stalin and Zhdanov purged cosmopolitans for being tools of imperialism. In equating all nations and ignoring specific material conditions, they ended up favoring Western hegemony and rejecting the anti-imperialist national struggles of the world.

The Soviets are accused of anti-Semitism for this, yet not all victims were Jews.[1]
