Carlos L. Garrido is a member of the Midwestern Marx collective, founding member and Plenary Committee member of the American Communist Party, and author of several books on Marxism-Leninism.
Carlos is most well known for his books The Purity Fetish and the Crisis of Western Marxism and Why We Need American Marxism. In fact, the phrase "purity fetish" is commonly attributed to him.
